Trending 40 Names Vemo Education CEO Tonio DeSorrento One of 2016’s Top 40 Entrepreneurs Under 40

RESTON, VIRGINIA (June 17, 2016) – Vemo Education, an education technology company working with U.S colleges and universities, announced today that CEO Tonio DeSorrento has been named one of Trending 40’s Top 40 Entrepreneurs Under 40 for 2016.
DeSorrento, 39, co-founded Vemo Education in August 2015 and leads the company as it works with institutions of higher education to develop and implement value-oriented, income-based student financing programs. He brings to Vemo broad experience in education finance, having served as outside counsel to Sallie Mae and advised other student lenders on product development and debt and equity finance.
Most recently at SoFi, DeSorrento served as the company’s primary transactional and financial products lawyer. He helped develop SoFi’s retail investment products and establish a broad array of vehicles that allowed institutions to invest in SoFi’s loans.
